Job Description

We are looking for an IT System Administrator based in Berlin to operate the internal IT landscape across multiple locations. This role combines hands-on system administration with operational ownership, security responsibility, and continuous improvement of IT services.

Your tasks:

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Manage identity, access, and user lifecycle using Azure AD (Entra ID)
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Windows and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune MDM
  • Operate and maintain on-prem and virtualized environments (VMware / ESXi)
  • Maintain local network infrastructure including switches and wireless LAN controllers
  • Automate recurring administration tasks and workflows

End-User Support & Service Management

  • Own and operate the IT service desk using Jira Service Management
  • Provide first- and second-level support with a strong focus on service quality
  • Ensure timely incident resolution and clear communication with users

Security & Compliance

  • Operate endpoint protection, email security, and firewall solutions
  • Ensure secure onboarding and offboarding processes in cooperation with HR
  • Maintain IT practices aligned with GDPR and internal security standards

Ownership & Collaboration

  • Act as the IT operations contact across all company locations
  • Support cloud migration, workplace IT, and infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate closely with Technology, HR, Finance, and Operations teams

Your skillset:

  • Hands-on experience as an IT System Administrator or similar role
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID), and Intune, including MFA, Conditional Access, and role-based access control
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management or similar ITSM tools
  • Understanding of IT security fundamentals
  • Experience managing IT assets, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently with a strong ownership mindset
  • Working proficiency in German and English
